I have given the article a clean up and make over, removing a lot of off topic and WP:COATRACK info and making it more well organized and concise. The lead now has a clear definition of the term with a citation and the members list is concise and uniform with wikilinks if readers want more info on each person.-- — Keithbob • Talk • 20:42, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
It would be great to get that photo that is mentioned here, with the group all dressed up like a comedic 'mafia,' and add it to this page. I'm fairly new here, and don't know procedures yet (e.g. for clearing a photo, finding out if it is public domain), but will come back to it later if nobody jumps in. unitypeace01318sda 13:48, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
I doubt it's in the public domain, but I'll look at fair use.-- Iady391 ( talk) 21:55, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
I removed 'citation needed' from this part of the artide:
According to Lacy, the selection process and technical learning at PayPal played a role, but the main factor behind their future success was the confidence they gained there.
The citation is included in the sentence (Lacy). Someone with interest in citing that, could look it up in the book and update it further of course.

removing the Tesla references, as they all erroneously say or suggest that Elon Musk founded the company. there are many legitimate references that support this idea, but just because they're legitimate doesn't mean that they aren't wrong. long story short, Musk wasn't even in the territory when the company was founded, rather he became an angel investor later into the life of the company. the two original co-founders were forced out of the company by the board of directors. all easily verifiable information, if anyone doubts it. I restored the members section. What's the point of an article about a group of notable individuals if no one knows who's in the group? If there's an issue with the list, sources, who's included, etc, we can discuss it here. MartinezMD ( talk) 01:56, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
Elon Musk was ousted by the PayPal Mafia. I think this is relevant information for the article. (Also explains why he is missing from the photo. All those guys could find the time but he didn't. Really?)
