Paulistas or Paulistanos?

Who's who? I always thought people from the city of Sao Paulo were called "paulistas" (hence, for example, the famous Avenida Paulista) whereas people from Sao Paulo state are known as "paulistanos." Anybody know more? Dschumacher 15:31, 28 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Paulistano is the people from São Paulo City, and the Paulistas is the inhabitans of São Paulo State —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.162.214.243 ( talk) 23:20, 7 July 2010 (UTC) reply

Paulistas or generic history?

There is one-half sentence about the paulistas. The rest is just generic history. The article either has the wrong title or the wrong content. If there is nothing known about them, say so, but don't divert the subject. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.70.177.64 ( talk) 13:26, 16 November 2010 (UTC) reply
