Provincial Solicitor

I have commented out the following sentence: "Buckley was Provincial Solicitor in the Executive when the Provincial Parliaments were abolished in 1875."

I've done this for the following reasons (not any of the reasons by itself, but in their combination):

  • the sentence is unreferenced
  • Scholefield (1950) lists the members of the Wellington Executive Council on page 236, and Buckley is not on that list
  • the sentence is factually wrong, as provincial councils were disestablished in 1876. Schwede 66 18:43, 29 September 2013 (UTC) reply
