The Patriarchal State of Aquileia was a large state in Northern Italy for a period of a around four centuries that although run by the Patriarch was not something that was identical to the Patriarchate which existed before and after the state was in existence. Is there an infobox for an extinct diocese? Currently all I've found is this Template:Infobox Roman Catholic diocese which is for still active dioceses.

– Primary usage. The patriarchate came first and outlasted the secular state ruled by its bishops. The other patriarchates are usually called by other names (Grado, Old Aquileia). Srnec ( talk) 02:44, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
