In my view looking at the completeness of the article Guru-shishya_tradition and the close similarity it would be justified to merge this article there. Normally "Parampara" would be the word I would use If I were to say Guru-shishya_tradition in one word. Placing it there would help editors as well and avoid duplication of data--it will rather help the editor. -- Jyoti ( talk) 15:49, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
Oppose: I oppose the merge on the grounds that something like a [[Krishna and Arjun relation could fall under Guru-shishya_tradition, however, Parampara is also used for Guru Parampara may also refer to a guru tradition of a certain faith such as Nimbarka Sampradaya among several others.
