Michael, where did you get that transit bus info? I've never been to Yuzhmash site, but also never heard about their making buses. What I know for sure is they manufacture trams and lousy trolleybuses. Possibly, it was translation mistake (their or yours). Pryvit, AlexPU
My rationale for assessment: market and technology importance, especially in the past. Ukrained 01:03, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
This sentence in the current version of the article doesn't make much sense: "Unlike Sergey Korolev, who was a supporter of missiles using cryogenic fuels, Yangel preferred a liquid fuel technology." The nonsensical part is that cryogenic rocket propellants are liquid. I think this probably should read, "Yangel preferred storable liquid propellant technology." I would make the change, but have no source for the claim to cite.... ( sdsds - talk) 07:07, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
What is the ownership structure of Yuzhmash? The article says it is state-owned, but that is not cited, and no good history is provided for the movement of this organization (company, maybe?) from ownership by the Soviet Union (where Ukraine was just a geographic subdivision SSR of the USSR), through the devolution of the USSR, to Ukraine. So which "state" owns it is not made clear in the article prose.
Whether it is no longer state-owned, or is still state-owned, how and when did the shift from Soviet socialist ownership change? If state-owned by Ukraine, how is the organization governed? N2e ( talk) 02:03, 25 July 2014 (UTC)

The current article name, Yuzhmash, is no longer the correct name, and should be changed to a redirect. The current name, as stated clearly in the article lede, is Pivdenmash, which currently redirects here. Propose the article name be moved to align with the current reality of the enterprise.
