Chairman of the Tanjore Municipal Council

The article as written states that Rajappa was chairman of the Tanjore (Thanjavur) municipal council from 1932 to 1944, but in Mudaliar, A. Sivakolundu (1926). A Short Brochure on the Kallars., it already shows him as chairman in 1926. Further, Baker, Christopher John (2008). The Politics of South India, 1920-1937. Cambridge South Asian Studies No. 17. p. 233. indicates that he was first elected chairman in 1924, and resigned in 1936. A. T. Pannirselvam

These sources indicate that Rajappa was a supporter of A. T. Pannirselvam until Pannirselvam's election as chairman of the Tanjore District Board in 1930, which put Pannirselvam at odds with the other large landowners and the Tanjore Municipal Council, and eventually led to Rajappa's resignation from the Tanjore Municipal Council in 1936.
