The current system of telescopes may date back to 1982, but I believe the two large interferometer antennas are much older. Weren't these used, for example, in the Kuzmin & Clarke proof that Venus has a hot surface? That was in the 1960s. DonPMitchell ( talk) 07:31, 22 May 2010 (UTC) reply
