The article has the number of volunteers (Games Makers) taking part ion the parade as 14,000. This is an incorrect figure. LOCOG emailed all 70,000 Games Makers (myself included) with an invite to take part, but volunteer names were entered into a ballot draw and only 9,000 lucky volunteers will be invited to take part in the parade. Unfortunately I cannot attach the link to this as it is in a private Games Maker portal that can only be accessed with security log-in details. Will this be an issue? I don't know all the numbers, but it is worth noting that there are more than one set of 'volunteers' represented. AIUI the Games Makers [one of our students was one] could enter into one ballot for one of their allocation of seats. And then there was a separate allowance of seats for Ceremonies Volunteers [myself included]. The Mayor Lof London's Ambassadors are another set. So, depending on what volunteers are being counted and which seat allocations are being counted I imagine there can be several different sets of numbers out there in the media, etc. 137.222.142.50 ( talk) 14:56, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
