This section needs to have some descriptive info added, perhaps on the model of Appalachian Trail#Lodging_and_camping. I'll leave that for someone with more familiarity with the area and the shelters themselves. I'm just a poor failed thru-OT hiker (early 1990s) who got washed off of the trail by storms, but I plan to get back and try again some day, hence my interest in the subject. TY!
