Hello @ DaxServer:, Thank you very much for all of your contributions to WP. reg: this reverting by you, my goal was a good faith attempt to improve the article by adding links to the ancient poet Ottakoothar's works, and make it clear that given source is like Wikipedia, freely available,(serious work done by volunteer workers) and not behind a paywall. As per your advice, may be you can suggest a better way to put in the external link in the article. Thanks, by contributor 2know4power. 2know4power ( talk) 17:40, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
Hello @ DaxServer:, reg: this subsequent rewrite edit is better, I suppose. Thanks, by contributor 2know4power 2know4power ( talk) 03:16, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
Hello @ DaxServer:, reg: this removing Tamil name by you, the poet's name (already discussed in English in the article), the reason for giving it in Tamil language is, the poet's original name: Koothar. The reason for adding prefix in the poet's name, Otta means to attach, the poet re attached/ made the heads stick to the neck again. So that is why I was trying to put the poet's name in Tamil language in the article. Hope this new edit makes sense, thanks, by contributor 2know4power 2know4power ( talk) 03:16, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
Hi User:DaxServer, regd: Indic script in article lead section Your edit removing Indic script from lead section, earlier I had included it because of Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(Indic)#Preferred_format_for_introducing_the_article_subject. Recently I came across this Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/India-related_articles#Non-English_strings, which is contradictory. But it states as exception "articles on texts originally written in a particular script." Ottakoothar is an author of ancient Tamil literature, so may be it applies here. Thanks, by contributor 2know4power ( talk) 01:21, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
