Read the Grove article in question, since mention of Schoeck's "alignment with Nazi policies" and association with serialism threw me. The latter apparently involved a brief period in his life, around the time of his opera Penthesilea; it might better be described as a flirtation with Bergian serial technique. The alignment with Nazi policy seems to have had deeper roots (even then, Goering ended up condemning one of Schoeck's librettos.) In all the situation described in the actual article condensed resists condensation...
