This article would really benefit from the (almost) unique central buffers showing the gap between the Merseyrail and Preston-bound services.

I reverted the changes made to this image as they were quite substantial and better suited to a fresh upload. That said I have been able to get a picture of the station with two trains at the platforms (only just - the Preston train pulled away seconds later!) which I have now added to the infobox. Regards.
