If it is a "majority opinion" that organ donation is fine under Jewish religious law then why does Israel face such a shortage of donors?
And regardless of current beliefs regarding organ donation, it is a historical fact that organ donation has traditionally been regarded as an unacceptable desecration of the body by Jewish religious authorities.
There is no consensus that organ donation is religiously acceptable in Jewish law. Epycwin ( talk) 04:47, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
