Dubious: Maverick seized

The article states "Based on Oren's intelligence, the Maverick was seized." The German plan was for SS Maverick to rendezvous with another ship, and receive a cargo of arms from her, but Popplewell says "The SS Maverick ... was hounded by British warships throughout her journey and was observed by British consular officers at every port of call." (p. 260) and "'Oren' gave the British firm evidence that the Maverick had never received any arms cargo whatsoever" (p. 261). This suggests there was no reason to seize Maverick, and the fact that Poppelwell doesn't mention a seizure suggests that it didn't happen. Perhaps one of the other references sloppily clustered at the end of the paragraph supports the statement. They need to be verified. Additional annotation would be helpful. -- Worldbruce ( talk) 20:01, 10 September 2017 (UTC) reply
