I have proposed that Indian Ordnance Factory be merged into this article, as they seem to be about the same organization.-- HarryHenryGebel 13:31, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
I propose that the title of this page be changed to Indian Ordnance Factories Board as that is the correct name of the Government Of India run ordnance factories. Also, Ordnance Factories Organisation is not a specific name. - User:bostonviewer
Why is most of the equipment capitalised? Is there any specific reason for the capitalised letters? It makes it hard and unpleasant to read. -- Anurag2k12 ( talk) 00:16, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
There's a list of ordnance factories which has some factories linked with their dedicated articles while most of them do not. The factories which have been linked with their articles are either classified as towns (owing to large areas covered by these factories and large number of inhabitants in the estates) or lack vital information. I propose that each factory should have its dedicated article based upon a template. Finding reliable sources for each factory would not be a problem since there are plenty of them (atleast 10 per article can be found on the internet). OFB is the oldest industrial setup run by the GoI and the largest government operated company in the world. It has been serving the nation for over centuries and is an organisation of national importance, the least we can as a mark of respect to this great organisation is by creating more awareness about it in the general public. Atleast we can create the pages and more information can be added over the time. -- BharatRakshak ( talk) 06:17, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

the name should be Ordnance Factory Board and not Ordnance Factories Board. The display title in the basic information also need to be modified. The default sort key to be also titled as Ordnance Factory Board.
The Indian Ordnance Factories organisation - a family of 41 Ordnance Factories under the aegis of its corporate headquarters Ordnance Factory Board, Kolkata - possesses the unique distinction of over 200 years experience in defence production
