Has there been any research on the possibility of a common Indo-European origin for Ophion and the Norse Midgard Serpent? — Gwalla | Talk 22:07, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Why is Ophion listed as an aquatic deity? According to Apollonius of Rhodos he sank into the ocean (which in my opinion means: because of the flood of the Gilgamesh-Epic which is also mentioned in the indian Puranas). The text of the article says nothing about the transformation or metamorphosis of Ophion to a god of the sea.-- 87.178.203.212 ( talk) 16:46, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
