The article seems to have suffered from drive-by tagging. Is it OK to remove this? all the points made are included in the references - it just needs a little effort to check. If there are any points that are in doubt, please say which ones. Historikeren ( talk) 09:28, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Addendum: Just to clarify; this page has been moved anyway (to a title disambiguated by date) with this edit in December 2014. (Note added by Xyl 54 ( talk) 19:31, 10 July 2020 (UTC))
I've re-written the Aftermath section, as the current version seemed to be suggesting the RAF were somehow at fault for attacking the U-boat base after Dönitz had "ordered the immediate cessation of all U-boat attacks on Allied shipping" and while the German crews "believed their war was over". In fact the U-boat war was still very much on, and it's clear from this that the Germans were acting in bad faith during this period. So I trust everyone is OK with that.
