As of 2007-05-05, I can't reach the OpenNIC web page http://www.opennic.unrated.net/public_servers.html, and none of the root servers I was using are reachable. Here is my old list of servers:
broken as of/before 2007-05-05: 131.161.247.232; 208.185.249.250; 208.185.249.251;
broken as of/before 2005-05-25: 64.81.44.19
broken as of/before 2004-10-23: 199.175.137.211 208.181.60.45 65.243.92.254 66.227.42.140 66.227.42.149
As of 2007-05-16 everything is functional again. The root zone server crashed and took several services down with it, including the website. Discussion is underway within the group on how best to add redundancy to all aspects of OpenNIC to prevent future problems.

According to http://wiki.opennic.glue/SponsoredTLDs, .opennic.glue is a TLD, not .glue 75.162.62.142 ( talk) 05:41, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
As far as I am aware, Namecoin support is not a required feature (it is implemented on some but not all OpenNIC servers), so the statement currently in the "Peering" section is potentially misleading. Would there be any objections if I remove it? -- SoledadKabocha ( talk) 04:01, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
