Kemptville isn't a municipality; why do you people constantly try to list it? -- 216.106.103.3 13:44, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

As this road nominally is a war memorial, there is a tiny commemorative park near the halfway point (northbound) directly north of the Kemptville commuter parking lot. Its location is not obvious from the main road as it's lower in elevation than either the 416 or the cross-street. The parking lot is southeast of the main crossroads with little more than a phone booth; walk north out of the car park toward the overpass to get to the memorial park. It contains two benches and a monument. (Any token description was removed from this article on 21:21, 31 August 2006.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.102.83.61 ( talk)

Again, doing this in order:
Thanks for all those changes. We are nearly there!
The issues I raised with the lead, second paragraph, have been resolved with the 23 December edit by User:MonkeyKingBar. There has been no attempt to revert MKB's edit so I assume these changes are acceptable to all involved with the article. I am now satisfied that the prose is now of a standard that will allow the article to be promoted. We are nearly there. Dolphin ( t) 11:36, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
Congratulations Floydian! Another Good Article. Dolphin ( t) 11:44, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
Currently the article says: "The freeway ends at a large interchange with the Trans-Canada Highway, Highway 417 (Exit 131), near the shore of Britannia Bay on the Ottawa River; downtown Ottawa is to the east and Kanata is to the west." Britannia Bay is actually about two/three kilometers to the east of the interchange. A more accurate description would be Andrew Hayden park, Bayshore or Crystal Beach. The bay is the same, but nobody calls the area near Andrew Hayden park Britannia. That refers to the beach.
Anybody got an opinion on this? -- Kndimov ( talk) 01:26, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
I'm in Toronto, so I wrote this using google maps and a street atlas. If you've got local knowledge then by all means make the fixes.
Ontario Highway 417 may also have similar types of inaccuracies. Cheers,

I added "Niagara Veterans Memorial Highway" before the link to Highway 420 to make it clear why there is a link to this highway. I think it's important because the number has a secondary meaning: 420 (cannabis culture). So, it may appear to some readers that the link to Highway 420 was added as vandalism. By adding the fact that it is also named as a Veterans Memorial Highway, it is immediately clear why the link is there and it is not necessary to go to the Highway 420 article to find this out.
Incidentally, I'm from the Niagara area and I didn't know the highway was called that. I do recall seeing it on the signs, but it's not signed very well. I was aware that Highway 416 was named that, as it is very clearly marked with signs including a poppy symbol. Roches ( talk) 10:13, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
