In Singapore, One Tree Hill and the O.C. were broadcast one after the other....so you can compare both show easily....
It irks me how adult-like the kids are in Tree hill, whereas the kids in OC behave like kids.. most especially Adam Brody.
What is the purpose of this list? WP is not a TV guide. I think the list should go...
I think we could get a few images for this page - there is a lot of text, so maybe a few picture to break it up a bit. There are two screencaps (I think only one is allowed), and a few promo's could be added - see Wikipedia:Image use policy. There are sure to be some on the internet. - 03:37, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
Has anyone considered simply condensing the season recaps down into maybe two to three paragraph summaries instead of giant tomes recapping every sneeze, cough and ass wipe of the characters?
Season 3 description needed! - There is a great description of season one and two but nothing of season three - could someone fix this please?
I don't think there should be an episode description on the main page. It makes the page even longer than before. If we want episode decriptions then they should be hyperlinked to a seperate Wikipedia page just for that episode. I agree that the TV.com article may not be copyright legal.
Well that said, can one of you guys copy and paste the information on the main page to a separate page? I'm quite inexperienced at that sort of thing, and it would be stupid for me to screw it up! Thanks, if you could. :) 210.50.189.32 08:22, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

The episode(s) of OTH that Peter Wentz was in were: An Attempt To Tip The Scales (3.4), When It Isn't Like It Should Be (3.18) and I Slept With Someone From Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me (3.19), all in the 3rd season. :) 210.50.189.32 08:28, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Can whoever keeps linking Paul Johansson stop? There is no article of the actor, and articles start to look ugly if they have too many redlinks to nowhere, or if someone is of high skill (unlike me), start an article about him? It'd be much appreciated. Also, please stop putting 66/66 on the No. of episodes- there are 67, the 2-part season finale of the second season is regarded as two separate episodes. 210.50.189.85 05:32, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
It seems that many of the episodes have names that refer to famous music albums or songs. Some of these have links to the wikipedia article for the song/album, but is this really appropriate? Seeing a link on the name of an episode makes me expect a summary, not a link to a completely different, unrelated article. If the links to the albums/songs are kept, there should at least be a note on the linked article saying something like "xxxxx is also the name of a season 1/2/3 episode of One Tree Hill" and/or something explaining the significance of the name -- I've never watched the show, but maybe the episode called "All that you can't leave behind" has some deep connection to the U2 album? Ampassag 07:59, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Maybe, if there isnt already, we should add a section/page to the main page that tells why they named it One Tree Hill? Its not that important but its a good bit of information.
I must admit that I'm not really au fait with all the conventions for Spoiler Warnings and the like, but surely if in the Premise one is given information that might ruin a twist or surprise there should be a warning. A better solution, however, would be in the following from the Premise:
The show is currently in its third season and the above information is relevant only to the first season. There is nothing going on between Peyton and Lucas anymore, and Nathan and Haley are married. Lucas and Nathan have improved their relationship.
If everything after the first sentence were deleted then someone's future enjoyment of the show might not be ruined, like mine has been. (It's not the end of the world, though.)-- Rubie 12:36, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Does anyone know where the title, one tree hill comes from? why "one" tree hill, etc (The previously unsigned comment was added by 222.153.32.111 03:31 UTC 6 June 06)
The writers wanted to call it Tree Hill after one of them saw it on the map of Australia. It was originally gonna be called The Scott Brothers (hence Les Frères Scott), and then another thought why not add the "one" to the front to make it like the U2 song... Ellisjm 10:36 UTC 9 June 06
Actually the show was originally called "Ravens" because it was going to be a movie on The WB. —The preceding

"One Tree Hill" is the address of the school. Most schools in NC (where the show is based and set)... have addresses like that.
The show is called "One Tree Hill" because of the U2 song off the album The Joshua Tree. The shows creator (Mark Schwahn) was listening to that album/song while writing the original draft of the show. When it was going to be a tv movie it was called "An Unkindness of Ravens". "One tree Hill" is not the schools address and the song off the U2 album is about a volcanic peak in New Zealand, not the town in Australia.
Mark Schwahn was listening to the song when he was writing the story. There are two reasons that the show gives: 1) In season one Karen says "There's only one Tree Hill, and it's your home. 2) The school's address is One Tree Hill.
Is anyone going to put a season 3 summary in? It has said Summary Coming Soon for months now.

These are supposed to be summaries/synopses, not long detailed accounts of everything. I suggest someone trim the fat out. Y2kcrazyjoker4 15:38, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
I was thinking maybe we could edit the rating section alittle. Maybe start on how the show started out ratings wise. 2.4's to 2.6's then after the episode Crash Course in Polite Conversations (the episode with Lucas's coma, the Peyton/Lucas/Brooke triangle, ect.) the ratings surged to 3.9's and 4.0's
Maybe mention how the show changed with Keith's death and how that effected the ratings as well. Seeing as the show mainted it's "high" ratings until his death and after that key point of the series the ratings declined.
if you go over to tv.com it shows that the episode With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, ect. 3.6 million veiwers tuned in after this episode the ratings significantly got worse
Ex: Before. A Multitude of Casualties...3.5, Champagne For My Real Friends Real Pain for my Sham friends...3.6
After. I Slept With Fall Out Boy and... 2.76, Over The Hills and Far Away...2.2, The Show Must Go On...2.3
I think thinking that maybe we should show individual ratings for each episode, would that be a problem for someone to do? so we can see sort of a scale of how they go up and down and up and down.
I was removing the Joe Davola from the Exec. Producers because a wikipedian on the main pages talk page warned about a vandal posting his name in a number of different articles. If Joe Davola is really part of the cast, then i'm truely sorry. dposse 00:28, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
I think that a link should be added at the bottom of the page linking to the new OTH website on CW. The link is: http://www.cwtv.com/shows/one-tree-hill

According to both IMDb and TV.com, William Haze appeared in six episodes. The list is according to the most prolific of the recurring characters; I fail to see anything unencyclopedic about this, as it shows who appeared in the most episodes, and it has nothing to do with POV. I used the cut-off of five episodes so as to not make the list impossibly large, or stretch the definition of " recurring." Putting them in order of episodes makes it easy to prune the list should it become too large in the future; the cut-off number of episodes could be modified. Shannernanner 10:49, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
A logo is not synonymous with a title screen; the former is a graphic used in promoting a product, the latter is a screenshot of the title sequence of a television show or film. The date is not needed in the episode number as it is not mandated by the template syntax guide, and it should be assumed to be up-to-date; as well, the link provided next to the number lists all of the episodes to date. When pluralizing a noun in which you pronounce both Ss, both are spelled out. Shannernanner 05:32, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Added the fact, that several episodes have only the shows logo or title instead ot the opening credits. It's somethin unusual that should be mentioned.
The following site lists all of the episodes of One Tree Hill and matches the title of the episode with the title of a song and the band/artist that sings it.
http://misc.xylot.net/misc.php?id=14
Also, according to the Wikipedia page One Tree Hill (song), the TV show was named after a U2 song from their 1987 alumb "Joshua Tree".
I am asking the community if I could add the site above to the list of links, because it is specific information that is useful to visitors and important to the article's focus (the TV show itself).

I just wanted to say that I had added some recurring characters bios, so the One Tree Hill box is no longer up to date. Also Deb is missing from the main characters section. Siemgi
I deleted two points at the end of the season 4 description that were invalid and unnecessary. The two points had to do with Brooke and Nathan's sex-tape revealed in episode 4x14. Brooke and Nathan were not 14 and 15. The tape was filmed sometime in or before the early part of season one, which would make Brooke and Nathan either 16 or 17 as in the early part of season one they are both juniors in high school.
What happened to the box and pictures of the main cast?
One of the most prominent things about OTH is the product placements - so much so that it affects storylines and character background information. Dan Scott's car dealership changed brand a number of times, even during the same season. The characters can be seen driving whatever brand of car Dan's selling. iPods change to Rios change to 'mp3 players' - Apple computers become Dells become computers with stickers over their logos. The whole cellphone thing. As well, episodes where drinking or sex or drug use is part of the storyline often have PSAs as part of the commercial breaks. The Sunkist tour tie-in as well as the music tours featuring artists doing appearances on the show. The list goes on and on. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bigdaddyhame ( talk • contribs) 13:18, 3 March 2007 (UTC).

I've deleted much of the Season 5 section. After the first few paragraphs it all seemed to be fan hearsay and a custom video that was clearly not authentic. I imagine it had more to do with what a few overzealous fans wanted to happen than what has actually been said might occur.

I watch One Tree Hill and have never heard of this character. You click on the link for Kristia Bonita and it's some girl who was one Rock of Love with Brett Michals. And isn't Taylor Cole a girl from Laguna Beach?
From Wikipedia: "Taylor Cole(played by Kristia Bonita) (S1- present): Taylor is Brooke and Peyton's best friend, It is also reveled that she was best friends with Chantel and Haley since they were the age of 5. Taylor is Co- Captain of the cheerleading squad. Nice and Singalous, Taylor has been singing for a long time, and she finally gets a record deal in Season 4, Which she will become a hit pop superstar. Taylor also had boy problems, with Jaylen Gatina, They both dated each other from Season 1 to Season 4. They break up was due to his sister Rachel being out of control. Taylor is currently at Southern Cailfornia Unversity studying Music, after College she will start recording her album" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jacks1287 ( talk • contribs) 17:07, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

On the grounds that " One Tree Hill: Fast Forward" is not its own tv series, or even miniseries. Not that the following are absolutely definitive, but neither imdb nor tv.com list this as a series in its own right. Having the various video documentary/commentary clips listed as "episodes" on the official site does not mean it should have its own article here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.252.211.226 ( talk) 02:31, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Having just rearranged and renamed the overall sections, and understanding this is a big change, please refer to the Wikipedia styleguide for television shows.
The next step (and hopefully someone else will pitch in so I'm not alone in this daunting task) is to condense the season recaps by a LARGE margin, and to rewrite them so the tone reflects a real-world perspective.
Also, there are too many lists, for instance the character list. Wikipedia is not the IMdB!
One of the final things which needs to be done (as per a wiki guideline I just read) is not to give so many characters their own pages, this is an encyclopedia.

Someone keeps linking to the French fan site " http://www.e-monsite.com/ravens" and the end of the section about Season 5. Would it be possible to add it to a bot filter to autmatically refert to the last edit before it was added? 68.151.121.221 21:49, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I've deleted much of the Season 5 section. After the first few paragraphs it all seemed to be fan hearsay and a custom video that was clearly not authentic. I imagine it had more to do with what a few overzealous fans wanted to happen than what has actually been said might occur.

Seriously, could we not have a sentence or two explaining the show's basic themes or whatever? "Teen television drama" isn't very informative, and then we launch straight into incredibly detailed season summaries. -- 86.128.73.139 20:19, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
