Origin? Criticism of? It is in reference to a now "unacceptable" terminology for Inuits. Surely someone has complained. 12.162.122.6 ( talk) 18:09, 6 November 2009 (UTC) reply

According to the article Eskimo, the term is neither synonymous with Inuit nor considered universally unacceptable; in Canada it is considered offensive, but in Alaska is still widely used with no pejorative connotations whatsoever. 173.24.223.159 ( talk) 23:50, 25 May 2010 (UTC) reply
It would be nice to see an explanation of why they use that name. If they aren't of Native extraction, then it is racist, whether that was their intention or not. If a bunch of white guys formed a band called "One Ni**er", there'd be no question about whether it was pejorative. Why would you take the name of an oppressed ethic group of which you aren't a part? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.106.70.37 ( talk) 18:22, 1 February 2011 (UTC) reply

I propose that One Eskimo (album) be merged into One Eskimo. Sub article contains little more than it's bilboard listing and a track listing. Not opposed to splitting it with the rest of their discography out into a One Eskimo (discography) in the future, but there isn't enough content currently to keep it seperate.
