Notable MLAs
Manson, Shelford and Kempf all held this seat for many years each; in modern terms Kempf is the most notable, although I think Shelford's political career was just as notable; Manson I don't know much about, and wonder if he's a descendnat of the Manson fur trade family, which is quite likely....Kempf challenged Vander Zalm on meddling re
Powder Mountain and shortly thereafter was forced to resign in relation to an expenses scandal. Notable elections include the displacement of the Liberals/Coalition in 1941 by the CCF, and the 1972 win by the NDP, as well as the eelections which reversed those wins.
