I removed Gig Harbor from the list of cities as it lies on the Kitsap Peninsula as opposed to the Olympic
Olympia is at the crotch of the peninsula and is also eponymous with the peninsula so it should be on the list, no? Matt gies 04:08, 24 Feb 2004 (UTC)
If the Kitsap Peninsula is truly west "across Puget Sound from Seattle", and the Olympic Peninsula is west of the Kitsap, and the Kitsap is not part of the Olympic Peninsula region, then wouldn't it be better to say the Olympic Peninsula... "lies west of Puget Sound and Hood Canal"? Lupinelawyer 03:32, 15 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I tried to find some evidence for the phrase "Port Angeles, the Peninsula's second largest town, was once designated as The United States Auxiliary Capitol", but all a search turned up was a series of tourist information pages that had the exact same wording, and none of which had any sources themselves. The only references to any U.S. Auxiliary Capitol were in these web sites, referring to Port Angeles. So is this reliable information, or should it be deleted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.138.65.197 ( talk) 17:03, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
