Question...

Various references use very similar wording, saying "he was named after Olivier Le Tardif, chief clerk of the colony" (and Father Le Jeune)... without mentioning that Le Tardif was his former owner.

Obviously, it would be NOR to include this, without a reference. But we should keep our eyes peeled for references. How did this happen? It looks like someone wanted to sanitize the Province's record of slavery... Geo Swan ( talk) 19:47, 27 February 2020 (UTC) reply
