This article claims the route is 9 miles long, the official website claims 10 miles. What's the source for wikipedia's 9 mile claim? 166.84.7.41 03:54, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
I have volunteered on this railroad for three years. It used to be a 10 mile round trip, but to reduce the strain on the rolling stock and track (also to reduce the train ride time, because as the track deteriorates, we are slapped with slow orders), we cut the last 1/2 mile (it is a round trip, so it cuts the trip by a full mile.) The website, however, is infrequently updated, and we are working to fix this. Geu23b ( talk) 03:09, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Is the train wheelchair accessible? 166.84.7.41 03:54, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Not at all, unfortunately. There is about a five foot stairway just to get to the doors, which are not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. If one were able to walk, we would certainly seat them close to the door to shorten the walk. Geu23b ( talk) 03:11, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Since the Newport Secondary Line is shared between the Old Colony and Newport Scenic Railroad and the Newport Dinner Train, the Newport Secondary Line text should probably be moved out to its own new article. JNW2 18:28, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Good point. I will do this. Geu23b ( talk) 03:11, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
