What about a mention of Cristóbal de Morales whose Officium Defunctorum actually predates that of Victoria? 24.62.230.90 ( talk) 03:05, 17 August 2012 (UTC) reply

Some problems

  1. The title Officium Defunctorum is generic and applies to dozens (at least) of other works.
  2. The 1605 publication collects several works besides the 'Missa da requiem and omits numerous parts of the full Office.
  3. The 6-part Requiem should be identified as a reworked version of the 4-part Missa defunctorum
  4. The title page illustration doesn't match!
