If the correct short title of this Act is "Official Secrets Act 1923", I think that this page ought to be called that. This article naming convention isn't used for UK or US statutes. I don't see why it should apply to Indian statutes. I don't see any need for it unless there is more than one statute with the same short title. Forgive me if there is some obscure convention as regards the citation of Indian statutes that I don't know about.

I'd tend to agree - it implies a parochial "them" and "us" worldview. Like you I don't know about any particular conventions wrt Indian law, but technically it was British law at the time it was passed...
