Birth and death

When did Moon die, and where? Where was Moon born, and when? Essential dates and places missing. It would also be good know when he enlisted. Binksternet ( talk) 04:03, 3 November 2009 (UTC) reply

Found the NYT obit. Binksternet ( talk) 05:45, 3 November 2009 (UTC) reply
The U.S. Army Register, p. 829, U.S. Government Printing Office, from 1938 lists Moon's death as November 19. The November 21 New York Times obit says "died yesterday" which I judge as less precise. I will use November 19 as the death day, not November 20. Binksternet ( talk) 16:25, 15 November 2009 (UTC) reply

Alcohol-related death

Major General Eubank said that Moon drank himself to death. No wonder I found it so hard to figure out how he died! In the 1930s, very little would have been written about one's drinking problems. Binksternet ( talk) 16:25, 15 November 2009 (UTC) reply

Wife?

When did Moon marry? What was his wife's name? Did she survive him? Children? Binksternet ( talk) 19:27, 5 March 2010 (UTC) reply

No one knows apparently. Rms125a@hotmail.com ( talk) 14:48, 8 April 2010 (UTC) (who knows if he even did marry) reply
He says he was bringing his wife tomatoes in Panama, where he was stationed in January 1924. She must have gone there to live with him during that posting, or else he married a local. Binksternet ( talk) 14:54, 8 April 2010 (UTC) reply
