Shouldn't this page have an English title, rather than a German one? Something like German Armed Forces High Command? I think that's the Wikipedia naming convention. jheijmans
OK, I didn't know OKW was an accepted term (though I know words like Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe are - translating them will also be rather meaningless: "Army" and "Airforce"). jheijmans
My German is far from perfect, but I believe "High Command of the Armed Forces" is closer to the original German than "Supreme Command of the Armed Forces". The former translation is reliably sourced and a search on Google for "High command of the armed forces Wehrmacht" turns up 1,500,000 results and "Supreme command of the armed forces Wehrmacht" turns up 200,000 results. I therefore took the liberty of changing the translation. Nicolas Perrault ( talk) 18:30, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/waffen-ss http://avalon.law.yale.edu/imt/judorg.asp#ss Conclusions: The SS was utilised for the purposes which were criminal under the Charter involving the persecution and extermination of the Jews, brutalities and killings in concentration camps, excesses in the administration of occupied territories, the administration of the slave labour programme and the mistreatment and murder of prisoners of war. The defendant Kaltenbrunner was a member of the SS implicated in these activities. In dealing with the SS the Tribunal includes all persons who had been officially accepted as members of the SS including the members of the Allgemeine SS, members of the Waffen SS, members of the SS Totenkopf Verbaende and the members of any of the different police forces who were members of the SS. The Tribunal does not include the so-called SS riding units. The Sicherheitsdienst des Reichsfuehrer SS (commonly known as the SD) is dealt with in the Tribunal's Judgment on the Gestapo and SD. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jack90s15 ( talk • contribs) 03:39, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
Preserving here by providing this link; my rationale was: "remove 3rd level sub-departments that are not independently notable". K.e.coffman ( talk) 21:22, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
