There is no direct evidence that Cavil's threat to dissect Ellen wasn't part of the ruse to fool Ellen and thus abduct Hera. Also, there is no statement on Cavil's part that dissecting Hera was actually planned- only 'tests' to determine her genetic makeup (for which Simon would presumably only need a few toenail clippings. Killing Hera in fact would be counterproductive, since it would eliminate a reliable source of further genetic samples for analysis over time.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.46.250.108 ( talk) 20:13, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
The current version of the article gives away much of the plot of the first season for those who have not seen it. This could be resolved by splitting into separate number eight and a Sharon Valerii/Sharon Agathon articles. Wachholder0 23:49, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
With the recent events in the Season 3 premiere, particularly with Sharon having now taken Helo's name and reports that her callsign will be different as well, an increasing divide is seperating these two distinct characters. Now may be the time to acknowledge that by spliting the article about Boomer-Sharon and Caprica-Sharon into two seperate articles.
This is the Sharon that Cally killed
This is the Sharon that Helo married
This would include all other Eight`s, such as leader-Eight that replaced Sharon Agathon.
This is going to be an issue for all of the human-form Cylons, especially Number Six. CovenantD 23:06, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Now that Sharon Agathon has gained the callsign "Athena," shouldn't there be applicable comparisons to the original series character? I realize that Lieutenant Athena from the original series is Adama's daughter, whereas in the reimagined series she is his close confidante (and possible surrogate daughter). However, I don't know much else about the original Athena's character, save from what I've read on her wiki page, so I'm not the person to make such comparisons. -- Monsieurxander
There seem to be three notable 8's now... Boomer, Athena, and the leadership rep. 70.55.85.225 ( talk) 05:59, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Shouldn't rebel leader 8 get a section in the article? Such as downloading Athena's memories, etc. 70.55.87.237 ( talk) 12:05, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
It looked like Athena died in one of the latest webisodes... anyone know more? Famartin ( talk) 09:40, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
I removed the following from the introduction: "More distinct characters have been eights than any other Cylon model." I believe this statement to be incorrect as we have seen far more distinct versions of Number Six than any other model. And unlike the Eights, the different Sixes even have differing appearances and hairstyles and personalities and even names. If someone can cite a source proving otherwise, please revert me, but based on the way things stand with only 5 episodes left, I think this statement is outdated. 68.146.62.92 ( talk) 18:00, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
The image shown, while classic, is not the best. If we could get some other photos of Grace Park in the different major guises (eg Boomer and Athena) that would be great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.26.193.92 ( talk) 06:22, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
"Boomer" is the name used for human looking replicants in the Anime series Bubblegum Crisis (1987-1991). BGC, itself, rips off heavily from Blade Runner. Correct me if I am wrong, but there must be some correlation between the name boomer in Battlestar and the fact that boomer is a cylon. This must be a reference to Bubblegum Crisis since BGC predates the new battlestar series. In fact, in one of the episodes shortly before boomer is outed as a cylon, someone asks her something like "Say Boomer, how'd you get your name, anyways?"
Now I am fully aware that Boomer is a name used in the previous Battlestar, but there seems to be some connection here to BGC as well given that Boomer is a cylon —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.19.124 ( talk) 04:47, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
