Where is the "Births" subtitle? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.116.173.75 ( talk) 14:50, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Plz don't delete events. Somebody deleted
2002 - Iran bans advertising of US products. An Iranian, believing a sorcerer had made him invisible, attempts to rob a Tehran bank
The first one is clearly an important event. The second one may not be too important but its damn interesting.
yah, this was on wednesday. How about we add
Interesting but unimportant events
HOLD ON...what the hell-these news people sux-the problem here is one of time zones...I think it happaned on thursday our time but wednesday iranian time-but im not sure...
1848 - U.S. presidential election, 1848: Zachary Taylor is elected president in the US presidential election held in every state on the same day.
Is there some significance to the US presidential election being held in every state on the same day that justifies mentioning that here? Every state's gonna have a Presidential election on November 2, 2004, too. It doesn't say Reagan was elected from 51 jurisdictions, even though he was. If Taylor was the first president to be so elected (as Nixon was the first to be elected from 51 jurisdictions, although the 'pedia doesn't mention that either), it should say so; otherwise, get rid of the thing.

I say that we create an "interesting but unimportant events" section to place this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.218.59.4 ( talk) 04:12, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
I'm planning to write on this day. Can anyone confirm if the official name has the prefix "The" i.e., is it "Day of Accord and Reconciliation" or "The Day of Accord and Reconciliation"? -- Mahadevan Subramanian 06:47, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I'm curious why this can't be omitted? When the republicans took over the house in 94 it is listed under that election day, but not when the democrats took it over. Seems odd. Also I was just about to come back and add about Pelosi, but seeing my addition of the house removed, don't know whether to add it, dont' see how that is not historical. Nancy Pelosi is in line to become speaker of the house. She will need to be elected by the Democratic caucus first.
This is the anniversary of the first player to achieve the status of Jedi in the MMORPG. Its an event. it happened on this date. Its important to a large number of people. problem solved
Just how globally notable is the following?
It seems that school shootings are becoming pretty common. What makes any particular school shooting (or all of them for that matter) globally notable? I think this falls under what is not notable. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 22:56, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
I have removed the link for Canadian recording engineer Jon Daly's 1988 birthday. I find it hard to believe that this person is notable at all and they may have been added as a prank. Furthermore, the link directed the reader to a page about Irish footballer Jon Daly, born 1983. If I have removed this link in error, please alert me on the discussion page, and I'll be happy to reach a suitable solution. Pygmypony ( talk) 19:33, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
