Image:Led Zeppelin No Quarter.ogg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Changed "Fighting to the death" to "showing no mercy to the enemy". The former was not correct as only the enemy are killed when no quarter is called. I understand that no quarter does not imply that the opposing side wishes to fight to the death. -- Candy ( talk) 07:24, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
How did they obtain that vocal effect? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.58.57.10 ( talk) 03:44, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
There is a ridiculously high amount of cover versions listed in this article, and many of them seem less-than-notable (a number of them where the artist presumably does not have an article on Wikipedia). I'm going to be reducing this list and reduce it only to covers by musicians/bands who are more notable.-- L1A1 FAL ( talk) 16:10, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
The original vinyl release had the fade ups woefully out of time in certain points, similar to the stereo mix of The Beatles' Eleanor Rigby. I can't find any mention of why this occurred or even an acknowledgement of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.148.200.96 ( talk) 14:10, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

The bass part was not played on Taurus pedals. Its range extends from a low F to Bb (before the song was slowed down to C#m) an octave and a fourth above that. The Taurus pedals were one octave in range (C-C), and so were not capable of playing these notes. He played pedals live but hardly in the studio as there was no need. The bass was overdubbed later, which he often did. He had two synths at the time, a VCS3 and a Moog Modular 15. It is very likely it was one of these (probably the Moog), although I have not seen confirmation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.195.126.155 ( talk) 14:58, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

In the film, and generally when performing No Quarter, Page would trigger the theramin with his arms after the line "The dogs of doom are howlin' more" - does this motion his arms make demonstrate the british signal to give no quarter? Cjo2112 ( talk) 20:26, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Pagey makes a motion with his arms by extending left arm straight and siedways while the right arm is at right angle above his head. He triggers the theramin and then switches the gesture over his head to change to the reverse image: left arm bent and the elbow at right angle, right arm straight sideways. Is this a long lost signal to give no quarter? Perhaps some signal from the occult literature then? Thank you for any reliable information :) Cjo2112 ( talk) 20:26, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
