This company surely made a name for itself with the electric EP9 setting records at Nürburgring Nordschleife and elsewhere, beating traditional ICE-powered sportscars from Porsche and others. -- Matthead Discuß 01:53, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
Move to NIO suggested. -- Matthead Discuß 03:17, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
The section "NIO ES8" speaks of "the X-bar and NIO's signature "Spark Beat" taillights". This needs to be explained. -- BjKa ( talk) 08:42, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
Who are the owners of the company? Missing such info in the infobox. Thanks, WikiHannibal ( talk) 19:42, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
@ 184.151.179.240: Don't want to edit war, but I don't think 'safe' shouldn't be in the lead. None of the sources mention the company as particularly noted for the safety of its cars. If there are specific safety features, it would be better to write about them in the Technologies section, citing reliable sources. Thanks Tera TIX 13:29, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
Just want to clarify why I removed this:
According to the press, NIO is among 200 car manufacturers that transmit the position data of customers to Chinese government-backed monitoring centers. "Chinese government's monitoring of electric cars raises surveillance fears". Fox News. November 29, 2018. Retrieved November 29, 2018.

The source clearly states that it is a Chinese policy for all electric vehicle manufacturers, it doesn't make sense to add local legislation to an article about a car brand. (Tesla obeys that law too and it is not deemed notable for the respective article.)

I reverted the addition about the Nio day and its "headliners" as I can find no independent verification other than press releases and their own company website saying such things, they were apparently headlined by bruno mars which would surely gather more than just press release in terms of sourcing and also video footage (the images and videos of the "event" don't corroborate that he was there, the footage of his perfomance is isolated and is just as easily to be taken from a tour than the "event"). Under “Area served” currently listed are:
The citation is a link to https://www.nio.com/about. I think, only China and Norway should be on that list, because in Norway NIO actually delivered cars ( https://ir.nio.com/news-events/news-releases/news-release-details/nio-inc-provides-september-and-third-quarter-2021) but not in any other country outside of China. The mentioned Germany, United Kingdom, and United States are AFAICS only places where NIO operates offices but does not sell cars yet. -- 185.71.209.215 ( talk) 08:10, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
This section needs to be updated to provide details of the other NIO listings on other exchanges and their listing types/dates. 195.89.137.60 ( talk) 20:23, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
Section should cover XPT factory (XPT is 100% owned by NIO), the joint JAC factory, and Neo Park. 195.89.137.60 ( talk) 20:26, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

I’ve made some edits but more is needed, especially from someone who knows better the company/have a native Chinese view on it. Phm123 ( talk) 06:58, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
