I thought they were different?
The Jersey sound - house music subgenre. 80s/early 90s soulful female vocalist gospel-sounding house music. Also called "club music." Also was called "garage music" in the UK and was very popular there.
Jersey club - new heavily processed dance music with lots of rhymically repeated samples. Bhdshoes2 ( talk) 19:50, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
I think Jersey club needs its own page as that almost exclusively refers to the 2010s era stuff and that 2010s era stuff is not called the Jersey sound. I think NJ house music needs its own page too-folding it under garage seems too UK centric given all the NJ festivals, fact it is a Black artform among the NJ african american community. Just a thought! Bhdshoes2 ( talk) 02:39, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
Yeah i read about that distinctiom btw UK garage and "garage music." I do think the jersey house music was more gospely back in the day thanks to Newark (not that i was there!) Bhdshoes2 ( talk) 14:46, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
