Neurostimulation techniques are not always highly area specific (ie necessitating the use of microelectrodes. This article seems to have a strong neurology slant, but Neurostimulation is increasingly being used for psychiatric disorders ( /info/en/?search=Deep_brain_stimulation#Major_depression)
