The result of the proposal was moved. Looks like they were duplicate articles at one point, and someone merged them at the wrong location. I'll make the move and do a histmerge. --

Neo da Matrix →
Neo Da Matrix – Capitalization of "Da" is consistently seen on album credits and in secondary sources, for instance Billboard magazine.

Oppose "Da" is a sensationalist spelling of "the", which we do not capitalize in proper names.
InfiniteNexus (
talk) 23:42, 8 December 2023 (UTC)reply
Right! The lack of consensus resulted in the keeping of the capitalized "Da".
Binksternet (
talk) 01:08, 9 December 2023 (UTC)reply
Note that
MOS:THEMUSIC makes room for odd spellings, allowing the artist's stylization to stay in caps. Examples given include
Megan Thee Stallion staying capitalized, and
Tha Dogg Pound keeping the capitalization even in running prose. The guideline lists "thee", "tha" and "da" as exceptions which are capitalized according to artist style and media usage.
Binksternet (
talk) 01:07, 9 December 2023 (UTC)reply
Well, perhaps you should have started with that. Support per
MOS:THEMUSIC, which explicitly states "da" and other stylized forms may be capitalized.

@
Bensci54: I can't agree with this, why was it moved? Definite and indefinite articles are not capitalised per
MOS:CAPS, and despite the novel spelling da is still a definite article in this case. Cheers —

@
Bensci54: thanks for the response and happy new year. But what about MOS:THEMUSIC? It says to lowercase articles as we would anywhere else, except for exceptions such as The Beatles album. I'm not clear what clause is being invoked here, and more particularly why it's overriding all other site wide guidelines to move a long term stable title such as this one. Cheers —

MOS:THEMUSIC and
WP:THEMUSIC redirect to the same place. It says to generally not capitalize the, but makes an exception for "stylized forms such as thee, tha and da", and it gives the example of
Megan Thee Stallion. This is not an expression of a personal opinion about the matter – I'm just reporting what it says. —
