According to a tertiary source 60 ships are based there in 2010, with 80 expected by 2014. Can't seem to find a good secondary source for this. Student7 ( talk) 00:49, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

The first sentence reads, ″Naval Base San Diego, sometimes called 32nd Street Naval Station, is one of the largest bases of the United States Navy in San Diego, California.″
This makes it sound like the naval base is "one of the largest of the United States Navy...IN SAN DIEGO" (i.e. That there are other naval bases in San Diego and that Naval Base San Diego is merely one of the largest ones there.)
Maybe that is intended but my guess is that it really means to say that Naval Base San Diego is "one of the largest...of the United States Navy. (i.e. That Naval Base San Diego is one of the largest bases of the United States Navy ANYWHERE.)
However, I'm not sure so I don't want to make this change myself.
