Is the 'town of Warrington' a part of Pensacola, or an adjacent entity? The maps aren't clear. If the latter, the description should be changed to "in the town of Warrington, just southwest of Pensacola,..." or something. —wwoods 23:19, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)
The statement "It is best known as the primary training base for all Navy, Marine and Coast Guard aviators" can be misinterpreted. Undergraduate Naval aviation training is broken into four phases, Pre-Indoctrination, Primary, Intermediate, and Advanced. NAS Pensacola is home to all Pre-Indoctrination training. This training does not involve real or simulated flights, but rather coursework (aerodynamics, engines, navigation, etc.), flight physiology, deep water survival training, etc. NAS Pensacola has no Primary flight training at all; this is done in NAS Whiting Field, Florida and NAS Corpus Christi, TX. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.97.185.104 ( talk) 20:25, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
