This is exactly analogous to The Graves Light which NRIS locates in Hull, Massachusetts. While Hull is probably the nearest City Hall, The Graves is within the city limits of Boston. (Remember that there are no unincorporated areas in Massachusetts). Therefore, we show The Graves Light in Boston, Suffolk County, not Hull, Plymouth County.
Showing The Graves in a different county from its NRIS listing is surely more significant than correcting this NRIS error, so why the fuss? Plymouth Light is at the end of a peninsula that has its base in Duxbury, but the end of the peninsula is part of Plymouth, not Duxbury, as first User:Duxbury Rural & Hist Soc, a newbie editor, and later User:Clariosophic, a vastly more experienced editor than I, have pointed out.. . . .
