I am posting the text of the article "Delay Repay" here, as the consensus of its AFD was to merge to this article.
Delay Repay is a compensation scheme operated by some of the United Kingdom's Train Operating Companies (TOCs).
Delay Repay is generally more generous in rewarding inconvenienced customers than the minimum provision of the National Rail Conditions of Carriage, however season ticket holders must remember to claim for each delay individually rather than automatically receive compensation, as is the case with companies which do not operate the scheme.
To claim, passengers must usually complete a claim form available from station ticket offices or downloaded from the appropriate TOC's website.
Compensation is normally paid in the form of National Rail Vouchers which can be used as full- or part-payment for any ticket on any National Rail ticket.
