can we add "mostly held on..." or "officially held on..." since there are many many police departments not using that date? here in boston, some districts hold it a week early (no clue why -- "avoid the rush"?). except east boston which always has it on a friday. and one of the suburbs last year had it on a monday b/c of some department conflict on tues.
and i'm seeing a news story right now about "NNO 2015 officially kicks off", so there seems to be at least one department somewhere holding it a good 2-3 weeks early.
great event, nonetheless. should the word "free" be squeezed in somewhere? of the 7-8 diff ones i've attended, only one tried to charge for anything (as a forced "donation to charity"). article makes it sound like any other festival...which usually means buy your own food if not outright cover charge. not at NNO. 209.172.23.254 ( talk) 05:42, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
I came here to learn more/remind myself about the controversy with NNO that caused many cities to abandon it in favor of "Night to Unite" or other names, as NNO is trademarked. Was a bit surprised that there is nothing here, as that's pretty notable. Rehcsif ( talk) 22:10, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
