Attempts to place ALP politics into student politics is obviously POV and is simply pushing a barrow. The two are serparate, as the ALP does not and has never been formally involved in student politics. Theusualsuspect 07:09, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Yes. But if you describe one faction that way, you have to do the same for them all. Xtra 07:11, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

This seems an unlikely issue to be a 'major criticism' - that a political faction should seek to hold a senior officer position. Any suggestions on a rewording to better illustrate why this is a criticism at all, and not what any faction would do given the opportunity? Jeendan 21:47, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
This article does not appear to have any references whatsoever. Can someone please try to come up with mentions in some reliable sources which both confirm the information in this article, and also provide evidence that the organization is "notable" per WP:CORP? If not, it should probably be merged to the Australia Wikia. Thanks, El on ka 06:02, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
Do people think it's more precise to classify the ALP as social democratic, rather than center-left. By the same token do people think it's more precise to classify the Coalition as neoliberal, rather than center-right. If anyone has any input into this please see the discussion at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Australian_federal_election%2C_2007#Description_of_ALP. Alans1977 22:01, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I've deleted Libby Buckingham from the list of NLS campus presidents. She ran with a Labor Left ticket, and is involved with the Labor Party, but is not a member of NLS.
