a Rat or a Mouse

In Africa they refer to this species as a rat, not a mouse. Can someone please offer further clarification? Thanks, Renee ( talk) 13:28, 14 July 2009 (UTC) reply

Nevermind, it appears that they are called the "common african rat" but are really a mouse species. See this. Renee ( talk) 13:32, 14 July 2009 (UTC) reply

Ok, so why don't you cite it in the article? Or the article should read like this e.g.: "This mouse, which is sometimes referred to as a rat, is ....". Flackie ( talk) 18:19, 24 September 2015 (UTC) reply
