The family article has much more to discuss that just the hybrid. Or do you really want to just merge the hybrid article into the family article? -

The family article could be much longer, sure, but I don't see why this entire narluga article couldn't just be a section in the family article. It's basically about a single specimen, it's not a recurring hybrid. But to make matters worse, this article seems to be bloated by what is largely
WP:synth.

I say take a machete to the OR first and see what's left. At that point, yes, probably merge into the family article. (Current merge tags don't indicate in which direction...) -

Looks like some of that text could actually be useful for general sections in the family article, as it talks about both species.
