Hello. I have no affiliation with Nancy Beiman; I'm just a regular editor. I have a request. Currently, there is no information regarding Nancy or her achievements that are dated before she won the NCS Division Award. I believe it should be this article's goal, among other goals, to give better context as to why she won the award in 1984. Plenty of people could find out about this article from the NCS Division Award page, so naturally, they would be curious to learn more about the work(s) that either earned her the award or were made at about the same time as what earned her the award. I'm not suggesting that Wikipedia commentates/ speculates on what it was about the work(s) that led to the award, but works with her name attached to it from that timeframe seem to be of minor cultural importance, and therefore should not be left out, if possible.

My edit is accurate, contains updated material, does not editorialize, and should be left alone. I am amazed that someone who does not have any connection to me or my career can make any changes they want to a Wikipedia article, with no accountability, while I am held accountable and asked to prove citations for basic information (such as my scholarship to Cal Arts?) If I am not allowed to correct the obvious mistakes in the original article I request that the entire listing be removed.
very truly yours Nancy Beiman ( talk) 12:15, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
