I think we should aim to make all motorway articles in Ireland have the same format. I think the N8 article is the best, and should therefore serve as the template.
All N6 Dublin/Galway traffic should expect continuing delays on the N6 between Kilbeggan, Moate and Athlone due to construction works at the interface of the existing Athlone By-Pass and the new N6 Kilbeggan to Athlone Dual-carriageway
Upgrade works will continue on this route until July 2008 with traffic restrictions in place along various stretches of the route.
Works on the Athlone Bypass between Kilmartins Roundabout at the Eastern end of the By-pass and the First interchange going westwards ie Ballymahon Interchange are as follows: A section of the East/Bound carriageway is closed and a contra flow is in place on the West/Bound Carriageway until approx 15th October 2007. ** On the 15th October 2007, the traffic will be routed in single lane though the new Athlone Interchange
In mid November 2007, the Athlone Interchange will function as a normal interchange and this traffic management strategy will remain in place until the new N6 Kilbeggan to Athlone Dual-carriageway is opened in 2008: The traffic from Mid November 2007 will function in a similar mode as the current Kilbeggan Interchange at the eastern side of the new N6 Kilbeggan to Athlone Dual-carriageway.

Because the M6 is now complete, what will the introduction be? This road is now only called the N6 for a short section in Galway and the Athlone bypass. -- Footyfanatic3000 ( talk · contribs) 22:43, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
