Farooq Sattar faction claim he own the original MQM whereas Altaf Hussain claim he own it. I think we should have one page for MQM until 2018 elections. For now, instead of dividing the pages, we can have a section in
Muttahida Quami Movement to mention the split. comments please?

I know that Sattar faction is being called as MQM-Pakistan but on other hand Altaf Hussain faction is being called as MQM-London or MQM-UK, so things are not clear. On Wikipedia, I suggest we should remain with status qou and have only one article for time being, at least until 2018 elections.--

Saqib, i think this is encyclopedia, but you have an agenda, now, why did you change 'status quo'
Altaf Hussain (Pakistani politician)'s page dear?
for status quo i agree, let it be status quo, before you started messing around with MQM's page? agreed? — Preceding

Admittedly I am not an expert on the subject, but to me it makes the most sense to insert this content the main MQM article as a subsection and change this page to a section redirect.

MQM-Pakistan is officially endorsed entity and it has a separate website and has a different policy according to its leader
Farooq Sattar who has mentioned its formation date as 22 August 2016, links are already added to this page. MQM-Pakistan has different leadership compared to MQM and both of them cannot be acomodated in the same page. so
Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan has a separate page and this can only be accommodated by a separate page. MQM london on the other hand is no official entity. MQM-Pakistan declares its leader as
Farooq sattar where as
MQM declares its leader as
Altaf Hussain. We have
MQM Haqiqi page as well which cannot be merged with MQM's page.

Rameezraja001: As per
Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia is supposed to reflect what reliable sources say, regardless of whether editors think it is true. Dawn
reports that "MQM is registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan in the name of Dr Farooq Sattar." Farooq Sattar
has stated "MQM is Pakistan. The MQM is registered in Pakistan and recognises the laws and Constitution of Pakistan." And as per
this we will have to mention Sattar as the leader of MQM. --

i have posted reliable sources in this article which you have deliberately omitted, i can also refer this to the admins, Election Commission of Pakistan only verifies MQM and not MQM pakistan, Farooq sattar's party which is MQM-Pakistan is a faction and not an eligible registered party. repeatedly he has stated he is leading MQM pakistan. being registered with a name doesn't guarantee one's status as the head of the party, the party is formed by Altaf hussain. It is the leadership which decides the authority of the party which presently rests with Nadeem Nusrat as Convener of MQM. Farooq sattar stands dismissed from the party according to the news sources.

I was invited by Saqib to give my opinion on the above. Instinctively, I thought about merging and redirecting this to the main MQM page but I also see that Rameezraja001 has a point. The MQM chapter in Pakistan now identifies itself as a separate entity from the one in London, so a spin-off article probably makes sense (just as we have dozens of articles on
Pakistan Muslim League factions). For readers, it may be informative to have a short "history" section explaining the split-off from the main MQM London, and the reasons for it. Mar4d (
