On 19 March 2023, it was proposed that this article be moved from Faddoul Brothers to Murder of the Faddoul brothers. The result of the discussion was moved. |
The current title of this article is contrary to Wikipedia's naming conventions concerning capitalization, as well as the Manual of Style advice about title capitals. Specifically, to be consistent with other articles about brothers or siblings the word "brothers" should appear in lower case, and not be capitalized. According to the page history, this article started as being titled Faddoul brothers but was moved to the capitalized title by the initial contributor, shortly after being moved from draft space to article space on 6 January 2020. Apart from the first sentence of the lead paragraph, and the infobox, the brothers are referred to as the "Faddoul brothers" throughout, even in one of the headlines of the cited sources. Unfortunately, no explanation was offered two years ago for this article capitalization change, which has persisted for 3 years without question, so I can only assume changing the title is now potentially controversial, and needs to be discussed further.
Unlike other articles about notable siblings, such as the Chapekar brothers, the Manaki brothers, or the Wright brothers this article is not a biography about the siblings and their joint accomplishments, but is an article about the circumstances of their murders, so should follow the naming conventions for articles about the murder of people. So, I think the article should be moved to the title "Murder of the Faddoul brothers" - Cameron Dewe ( talk) 01:29, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
