I am going to change the picture of the mule to simply the cover of the book Foundation and Empire as having that picture there with the caption below is a huge spoiler for anyone who has not yet read through the book.

I really think we should make a paragraph or two about how the Mule disguised himself as his own clown and travelled with Toran and Bayta Darell. This is included on the article Foundation and Empire, so it should just be a matter of reading what information there is there and retyping it on this article. I am very busy so I won't be able to perform this task at the moment. Slartibartfast1992 20:45, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
At 120 pounds and 5' 8", the Mule would have a Body Mass Index of 18.2. The latest recommendations are that we should all have a BMI at the lowest end of the normal scale, which would be 18.5. So, by today's medical science, the Mule is the healthiest character in the books. How times change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.49.247.73 ( talk) 04:58, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
What is the point of putting up the unreferenced template on an article (about a character from a fiction book) which links directly to the book article? Isn't the link good enough? Trilobitealive ( talk) 01:15, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
The image Image:Foundation and empire cover.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

Did anyone knows if the song "The Mule" by Deep Purple is written after Asimov's Mule? -- Lessio ( talk) 14:59, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Yes - see the article on for the song which links to Ian's web pages where it is confirmed.

In fact the images do match Asimov's description of the character as noted in the Origins section. The other is a metaphor. Both images have their rationale for fair use in this article clearly stated and have been accepted as such for 7 years. Their arbitrary deletion vastly reduced the quality of the article and needs a better justification than the arbitrary and false ones given. Lycurgus ( talk) 08:14, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on
